West Burton Neighbourhood Watch (NW) has been formally registered, with Paul Driver and David Anderson as Co-ordinator and Deputy Co-ordinator respectively. We have distributed a flyer describing NW to all households in the hamlet by email or hard copy, which included a form to register interest in joining the scheme. Applications have been coming in gradually, and David has logged people’s contact details (with permission) on our database. Once a good number have been received, we will be sending out a welcome message to participants, with some further details on the operation of the scheme; it will be a very light and non-bureaucratic organisation. Following the welcome, we will be distributing NW stickers for people to display on their front doors, and we will also be placing larger NW street signs on the entrance roads to the hamlet.
