There is an exciting opportunity to bring ULTRAFAST Full Fibre Broadband to YOUR home or business here in– yes here, in tiny, rural Bury!
Residents and small and medium-sized businesses in rural areas of West Sussex can now benefit from the fastest and most reliable broadband connectivity available if they choose to ‘go gigabit’.
And Bury Parish Council have made an application for a community-led and Government-supported programme in conjunction with Openreach to improve broadband speeds in Bury Parish.
The advantages to our community would be huge. Not only would it mean superfast broadband for homes and businesses that sign up, meaning you can, for example, download an HD movie in as little as 30 seconds. But, crucially, it would future-proof our community, enabling, for example, our local School, Pub, Church, Village Hall and all Residents to choose to connect to Ultrafast Full Fibre Broadband at any time in the future.
Our MP Andrew Griffith is enthusiastic in his endorsement of ultrafast broadband speeds for rural communities.
He said: ‘One of my top priorities when elected was faster and more reliable broadband and I have been pressing Ministers ever since. I am delighted that West Sussex has secured a share of the £5 billion gigabit investment.’
And Digital Infrastructure Minister Matt Warman said: ‘As part of our plans to level up communities across the UK, we’re prioritising bringing the economic and social benefits of gigabit-capable broadband to rural areas.
‘Even more help is now at hand for rural parts of West Sussex currently suffering with slow speeds.’
