Emergency Plan: Can you help Bury in an emergency?

Bury Parish Council is in the process of creating its Resilience & Emergency Plan for the parish and would like to know if you can help.

Why is the plan important?
We are all aware of the danger that climate change poses in terms of the increased risk of flooding, heat waves and power cuts. COVID-19 has also taught us that a pandemic can strike at any moment. It is for these reasons that an emergency plan for Bury is now more important than ever. It effectively provides a blueprint for the parish in the event of an emergency and identifies the key personnel and buildings to which people can turn. We are also compiling a list of those in the community who may be more vulnerable than others, or require extra assistance in the event of an emergency, so please let us know if you are aware of anyone.

The Parish Council is calling on the community to let us know if you have the skills to help. We are looking for people with the following skills or resources:

Machinery/equipment Skills
Tractor Medical care
Heavy lifting equipment Builders
4-wheel drive transport Carpenters
Generators Tree surgeons
