Bury Village Hall refurbishment update and latest architect plans

Parish Councillors held a public drop in meeting on Monday 29th July to display the new architects plans and around 15 parishioners attended. There were several small groups engaged in conversation over the new drawings, the broad timeline for next steps and information on the fundraising campaign. The latest drawings are all posted below.
The estimated broad timeline for the project is:
  • Planning application August to December 2024
  • Fundraising ongoing until summer 2025
  • Structural surveys, civil and drainage surveys, construction drawings and specifications January to March 2025
  • Invite construction tenders, review and appoint contractor April to June 2025
  • Construction from 2nd half of 2025
The latest cost estimate is £877,500
Fundraising achieved so far £350,000 made up from:
SDNPA CIL Grant  £100K
Squire Cottages Charity £100K
Public works loan £150K
On going fundraising from other sources such as grant making organisations, to be announced.
