Urgent appeal for volunteers – join us to care for Bury Green Playground

Bury Green Playground, a cherished gem in our Parish, needs the support of passionate volunteers like you! As times evolve, so does our commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable space for our community’s families.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to help us form a small, dynamic team that will conduct weekly inspections of the play equipment and furniture at Bury Green. Our goal is to ensure the utmost safety and security, aligning with Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) standards. Don’t worry if you’re new to this – full training will be provided, making it an accessible and rewarding opportunity for anyone.

Here’s the exciting part: by joining our roster, you’ll only need to commit to one inspection per month. That’s just around 30 minutes of your time a month, but the impact on our community will be lasting and profound, particularly for our children knowing they have a well-cared for haven to play in and explore!

Your help is crucial, and we invite you to be a part of this meaningful initiative. It’s an unpaid role – as a parish council we just don’t have any budget without impacting your annual precept payment to us (local tax), which we don’t want to do.

Could we come together as a responsible and caring community to make a positive difference? If you’re ready to contribute and be appreciated by our most important critics – the kids – please reach out to Mike, our Parish Clerk, on 07894 858048 or email him at: clerk@buryparishcouncil.org.uk to indicate that you are willing to help.

Together, let’s create lasting memories and a secure haven for our community’s future!
