Royal Mail strike action

Royal Mail has advised that the Communication Workers Union (CWU) has called on its members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take strike action on 26th and 31st August and the 8th and 9th September 2022. Post Offices will be open and offering the usual range of services on days when strike action is taking place – except for 26th and 27th August when the CWU has also called a strike in a small number of Post Office branches which may be closed.

For further information on how postal services etc. will be affected, please see here: – Royal Mail strike updates | Royal Mail Group Ltd

Bury Post Office
We have been in touch with Tracy who advised us that she is not a member of the CWU and sub-offices run by sub-postmasters do not belong to this union so will not be striking. Consequently, Bury Post Office will be open as normal on Friday 26th August (13.15 to 15.15hrs).

Please note that Bury Post Office will be closed on Friday 2nd September as Tracy will be away on holiday. She will be back with us as normal on Friday 9th September.
