As residents of our parish are well aware, noise pollution from motorbikes has been a problem for many years. Over the past few months, we have reported on the measures taken by Sussex Police to combat antisocial road behaviour and we are greatly appreciative of their continuing efforts. The problem is not confined to our corner of West Sussex – it is an issue on a nationwide scale, so much so that a petition has been launched to seek legislation to reduce the maximum legal noise for motorbikes.
