Some irresponsible person recently kindly dumped two sheets of deteriorating corrugated asbestos sheeting in the verge along the lane between West Burton and Bignor, more or less opposite Pill Pond. For good measure they also dumped two old tyres in the opposite verge. Bury Parish Council on Monday, July 12, notified West Sussex County Council of the hazardous material and by 11am on Tuesday, it had been removed by a specialist firm. Very prompt action.
