Roadmap To End Lockdown
Step 4, the final stage in the Roadmap out of lockdown is set for 21st June when all restrictions are scheduled to be lifted subject to the Covid data regarding infection rates, hospitalisations, deaths etc. However, concerns relating to the Indian variant have given rise to suggestions of a possible delay in the 21st June unlocking. The Government has committed to announcing its plans on June 14th prior to which ministers are due to receive papers setting out the options from scientific advisers and officials as well as the most up-to-date data before making a decision.

Plans being drawn up by the Government could result in vaccinations being given to 12 to 15 year olds by late August or early September should the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation recommend the jab for younger teenagers.
