Celebrating Sussex Day – 16th June

Thursday 16th June marks the 15th anniversary of Sussex Day, a way for residents to celebrate the county’s rich heritage. The county’s Libraries and Record Office are both holding events on Sussex Day – see below – or check out WSCC’s  Experience West Sussex website to discover lots of ways to enjoy the county all year round. Libraries are partnering with Chichester Cathedral to welcome best-selling crime-writer Elly Griffiths as part of this year’s Festival of Chichester. Elly will talk about the latest book in the Dr Ruth Galloway series, ‘The Locked Room’, and about her novels which are set in West Sussex. Tickets for the live event at 7pm in Chichester Cathedral cost £10 or you can attend via a live stream online for £5. Book via Chichester Box Office. Tickets are non-refundable and there’s a 50p booking charge per online transaction. West Sussex Unwrapped III: Chichester Festival Theatre at 60 is a free online event taking place at 7pm where you can discover the history of this famous theatre as it celebrates its 60th anniversary.
