Bury Parish Council was thrilled when a call earlier this year for volunteers was answered and several parishioners came forward to help.
Since then, a full weekly report is being undertaken by the volunteers, to monitor all equipment plus the hedges, boundaries and greenery and ensure that this asset remains in the best condition possible for both our younger parishioners and their guardians.
Some very kind parishioners made a generous donation in paying for the play equipment to be cleaned of algae and dirt, which has kick started a spruce-up campaign that the Bury Green volunteers are spearheading.
Once we are into drier weather, the play floor surfaces will be cleaned and the equipment (in particular the climbing frame) will receive running repairs and a paint where required.
