Better Broadband meeting a big success

Around 30 residents from West Burton and Bury attended an information meeting at The Squire and Horse pub, on Thursday, October 14. Our MP Andrew Griffith and Tim Clarkson from Openreach, eloquently explained the benefits of this fantastic opportunity.
Key messages were:
  • With the community’s support, Bury can ‘jump the queue’ and get Ultrafast Broadband speeds within One year! Otherwise, we could be waiting for 5+ years
  • By doing so we will future-proof our community with state-of-the-art internet available not just for individual households and businesses but for our school, village hall, church, etc.
  • We will let you know when it’s time to pledge your support
  • Keep an eye on the new BROADBAND section at https://buryparishcouncil.org.uk/

Our huge thanks to everyone who is supporting this Community led scheme, including Nick and his team at The Squire and Horse pub.
