The Bury Summer Party, held last Saturday, turned out to be a resounding success thanks to the remarkable participation and enthusiasm of our parishioners. With sunny skies and a gentle breeze, the weather could not have been more perfect for an outdoor celebration.
The true heart of the party was the spirit of volunteerism demonstrated by so many members of our community who helped with the set up, cooked and gave nibbles, served during the party and who helped with the clearing up. Their dedication was evident and deeply appreciated.
Equally impressive was the turnout. Over 100 Parishioners came filling the village green with laughter, chatter, and a sense of community to the background of music provided by Bury Parish Council.
The highlight of the day, of course, was that this was a fundraising effort for the village hall refurbishment fund. Thanks to the generous contributions of those who attended and bought drinks, we are thrilled to announce that we raised £306.30. This sum will go towards the start of our local fundraising efforts to ensure that Bury Village Hall is rejuvenated and continues to serve as a hub for community events and gatherings long into the future.
