The annual Act of Remembrance of those lost through war from Bury, Houghton, West Burton, Watersfield, Coldwaltham and Hardam, was held at the Cenotaph at St. Johns, Bury on Tuesday 11th November. It was led by Fr Andrew Wadsworth and Reverend Simon Brignall. In attendance were soldiers of the 12th Regiment, Royal Artillery, children from Bury C of E School, Dorset House School, St James C of E School and many parishioners and visitors.
Following the playing of the Last Post (by Owen Parker from Dorset House) and the two minute silence, poppy wreaths were laid at the memorial. The Roll of Honour and poems were then read by children from each of the schools.
