Friends of Bury School tell us they have joined The Big PTA Raffle 2020 which gives participants the chance to win some big money prizes whilst helping to raise funds for the school and they would very much welcome the support of local residents.
For every £3 ticket purchased you will have 12 chances to win up to £5,000 and at the same time 50% from every ticket sold will go to the PTA. It’s a fantastic way to bring Parents, Carers, Teachers and the wider community together, in partnership with the PTA, and at the same time give something back. It is hoped to raise funds that can support and enrich the education of the children – the PTA aim to provide extra resources for the children, improve the school environment as well as run extracurricular activities such as music, art and sport. Thomas Moore, head teacher at Bury School, informs us that they are also raffling off 3 x 1lb jars of the first ever Bees of Bury School (BOBS) Honey for £1 per entry (to win one jar). Again, anyone can enter, they just need to pop along to school between 9:30 and 14:30 (to avoid crossing with parents) with their £1 coin (or more if you prefer!) and name and contact details.
