After an absence of three years, the Bury Fete returns on Saturday 30th July in the grounds of Dorset House School. Judith Daykin of the Bury and West Burton Volunteers has provided the following information.
If you have something to contribute, please see below….
Please deliver any of your good quality unwanted clothes, shoes, accessories etc. to: The Gargoyles, The Street, Bury between 11th and 28th July. Leave in boxes in the front garden if no-one’s home. Any questions, please call 07534 361700.
Book and Jigsaws:
This year we have expanded our range to include both of these. They can be delivered to the garage of the home of Jennie Cummings in Bury: third house on the right from the old Dog and Duck pub, going down the cul-de-sac. Any questions, please call 01798 831369 or 01798 831573.
Please take anything suitable as bric-a-brac to The Arun Churches Vicarage, Bury any day in July. If no one is home, please leave in the wood-shed (beside the garage through a small gate).
Cakes can be delivered to Janet Mattey at Downland, The Street, Bury on Friday July 29th or Saturday 30th morning, or please call 01798 839122 to arrange collection.
Cakes for the Teas:
Cakes can be delivered to Susie at Penfolds, The Street, Bury on Friday July 29th or brought directly to the fete on Saturday 30th.
Other ways to help:
- Lend a gazebo to us, to save some of the costs for hire?
- Help us with setting up tables/gazebos etc. on Friday 29th July afternoon/early evening?
- Help us with some clearing up afterwards on the 30th?
- Join one of the teams to man the barbecue, run the bar, sell cakes, make and serve teas, sell raffle tickets?
Any of the above, please contact Judith on 07534 361700 or email bwbvolunteers21@gmail.
