This year’s ever popular Apple Pressing Day will be held on Saturday 8th October on Bury Green. We’ll publish further details nearer the time. If you wish to have your apples pressed for juice, please store them in boxes, discarding any badly bruised, mouldy or maggoty; check them from time to time and throw out any that are starting to rot. Bring clean bottles for your juice – plastic is better if you are freezing your juice as plastic accommodates the expansion. 1kg of apples will yield approximately 1/2 litres of juice or cider.
