Bury Parish is well and truly in the Christmas spirit as the parish’s much-anticipated Christmas tree has taken pride of place in the heart of the community. This year, the tree is extra special, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Bury Cubs and their leaders, who played an integral role in making it happen.
The journey of this spectacular tree began at the beautiful Bignor Park Estate. The Cubs, brimming with excitement, set out to the estate to choose the perfect tree for the village. After much deliberation, they selected a magnificent specimen that perfectly embodies the magic of the season. With help from their leaders, the Cubs cut down the tree and carefully transported it back to the village.
But their work didn’t stop there. The Cubs channeled their creativity into designing and crafting decorations that have transformed the tree into a dazzling masterpiece as part of their Community Impact. Their handmade creations have added a personal and heartfelt touch that parishioners have been quick to praise.
“This is the best Christmas tree we’ve ever had,” said one parishioner. “The decorations are so thoughtful and beautifully made. You can really see the effort and care that the Cubs have put into it. It’s truly brought the community together.”
The parish would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Bignor Park Estate for generously donating the tree. Their support has helped to make this festive centerpiece a reality and brought joy to everyone in the parish.
For the Cubs, the experience has been an opportunity to connect with nature, get creative, and give back to their community. Their smiles and sense of pride as they helped decorate the tree were a wonderful reminder of what the Christmas season is all about.
If you haven’t seen the tree yet, make sure to visit the village hall and soak up the festive atmosphere. With its sparkling lights and lovingly crafted decorations, it’s a sight to behold and a symbol of the spirit and camaraderie that make Bury so special.
Here’s to a magical Christmas, and three cheers for the Bury Cubs for making it one to remember!
