The first results of the 2021 Census have now been released by the Office for National Statistics, providing a glimpse of how Chichester District’s population has changed over the past decade. The population has increased by 9.1% – higher than the overall increase for England (6.6%) and for the Southeast (7.5%). However, as of 2021, Chichester is the least densely populated of the South East’s 64 local authority areas, with around one person living on each football pitch-sized area of land! More details of the Census results can be found here.
